AMC 10

What it is:

The American Mathematics Competition 10 (AMC 10) is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple- choice contest designed to enhance problem-solving skills in high school-level mathematics, excluding advanced topics like trigonometry, advanced algebra, and calculus.

Participants:

Students in grade 10 or below, under 17.5 years of age on the contest day.

History:

AMC 10 originated as the American High School Mathematics Examination (AHSME) in the early 1950s. In 2000, this contest was split into AMC 10 and AMC 12.

2025 Dates:

AMC 12 A: Wednesday, November 5, 2025

AMC 12 B: Thursday, November 13, 2025

Regular Registration: October 15, 2025

Late Registration: October 28, 2025
